Year 3/4 Excursion to Science Works

On Wednesday the Grade 3/4 students travelled to Scienceworks to learn more about our place in space. We learnt about the size of the earth, moon and sun in comparison to each other and the distance of the earth from both the sun and the moon. We also learnt about day and night and the seasons of the year by exploring the tilt of the earth on its axis. A fun and educational day was had by all. We have lots of questions and wonderings and we can’t wait to learn more about this topic.

Keilor Gatehouse Kinder Visit

At St Augustine's we try to make entry to school as easy as possible. As part of our Transition to school program children from Keilor Gatehouse Kindergarten come to visit each year. These visits are intended to familiarise the children with school buildings, playgrounds, teachers and other children.

This year the Kinder students got to meet some of our Senior School students and engaged in lots of fun learning activities in the school library.
